Interesting fact: Carbon brushes used in traditional motors wear out and deplete after about 600-800 hours of operation. Brushless motors can operate for up to 8000 hours (10 times longer) than traditional brushed motors. They are also lighter, more environmentally friendly (do not emit carbon dust), and safer - powered by low voltage 24V, eliminating high voltage from the power cord and clipper.
