Ways to check for fleas on your pet: flea comb - (metal-toothed combs are the best). Comb your pet with this comb, reaching deep into the fur down to the skin. Then remove the comb from the fur, and if you notice black spots on its surface, these may be flea droppings. If fleas appear on the comb, they should be drowned in a bowl of soapy water before they escape or jump back onto your pet.
White paper towel - place a white paper towel under your pet, then rub its skin with your hands. If black spots appear on the towel, they may be flea droppings.
