Safe car travel is a serious matter, especially when you're traveling with your beloved four-legged friend. While there are special carriers for safely transporting animals, most of us (especially small dog owners) prefer to keep our pets close by. That's why Hurtta has decided to produce travel harnesses for dogs designed for cars - the Hurtta Travel Harness Eco. This product is the result of three years of work and 10 different crash tests, including those conducted on child safety seats. Dynamic crash tests were carried out according to the ECE R44.04 testing conditions in Finland (Oy Klippan AB) and China (CATARC Automotive Component Test Center Co., Ltd). The harness design allows it to be attached to the car's seat belts. During sudden braking or an accident, the seat belt retractors lock and hold the dog close to the seat. This way, your pet stays in place without sliding around the interior of the car. Your pet can travel in the way they prefer: sitting, standing, or lying down. Thanks to the sturdy metal D-ring, you can attach a leash and use it like regular walking harnesses. The opening for the seat belts in the car also serves as a handle to hold the dog.
Adjustments at the chest, neck, and waist allow for a precise fit of the Travel Harness to your dog's body structure. The outer part is made of soft, waterproof neoprene covered with a layer of durable polyester fabric. The underside of the harness is lined with breathable air-mesh for good ventilation. All straps are made from stretch and tear-resistant nylon. The harness is very comfortable to use and extremely easy to put on and take off, fastening with strong metal buckles. The reflective attachment ensures visibility. The harness has been tested for reliable, long-lasting use. The stretch resistance and durability of critical points have been ensured through the use of special seams and confirmed by certification meeting the strength requirements for harnesses SFS-EN ISO 13934-1. The materials used in the production of the harness are free from toxic substances and meet strict Bluedesign® standards, focusing on sustainable chemistry to ensure the highest level of safety for people, animals, and the environment. The metal fittings have been tested for corrosion according to EN ISO 9227: 2017 (E).
