How to teach your dog to use the mat?
Insert your dog's favorite LickiMat (Classic, Tuff, or Slomo) into the frame, place a favorite treat on it, and attach it to the Puppy Station mat. Encourage your dog to enjoy the meal. If the dog tries to bite the mat instead of licking, distract it with a favorite toy. Remove the mat. Call your dog back after a few minutes and repeat the process as long as the dog tries to bite, destroy the mat, or refuses to sit on it. Once your dog is accustomed to the mat, you can detach the LickiMat frame and treat it as a resting place. You can also always serve your pet food on it.
