PetSafe Extreme Weather Aluminium Pet Door is a simple accessory for installation in doors or walls that provides your pet with freedom and independence. The metal dog and cat door features thermal insulation and aluminum reinforcement, allowing your pet to enter and exit the house at any time. Whether it's winter or summer, frost or heat - the triple flap with a central thermal insulation layer blocks the influx of extremely cold or warm air from the outside, protecting the interior from very high and low temperatures up to 3.5 times more effectively than standard doors. The metal frame with reinforced aluminum corners makes the door ultra-durable, resistant to extreme weather conditions, and ideal for buildings inhabited by multiple pets. When the passage is not in use, you can cover it with a snap-on panel.
The operation of the door is very simple. Your pet just needs to push the triple flap with its body, and it will lift and automatically fall back down once the pet passes through the opening. The Extreme Weather Aluminium Pet Door model has 2 setting options: the flap opens inward and outward or is completely closed. If you don't want your pet to leave the house for a while or vice versa - stay outside, you can cover the passage at any time with a snap-on cover for the door frame. Importantly, the flap does not swing but stops flush with the frame, and a built-in magnet keeps it in place. This closing system prevents excessive air exchange when your pet passes through the opening.
The thermal insulation pet door is available in three sizes - M, L, and XL. It can be installed in panel, wooden, metal, and PVC doors with a thickness of 3.75-5cm. The metal flange around the opening creates a secure tunnel in the passage. Installation is not complicated, and you will have a special cutter and screws included in the set to assist you. The door can accommodate pets weighing up to 100kg (for size XL).

How to teach your pet to use the door?
After installing the door, leave the flap open for a while (you can secure it with a piece of string and tape to the surface above. Ensure that the flap does not fall accidentally, as this may scare your pet). Encourage your pet to pass through the opening using its favorite food or treats. First, feed the pet at the door inside, and then at the door outside. Practice until the pet starts to pass through the opening without hesitation. Then repeat the training with the flap down so that the pet learns to push the door to exit. Pet and reward your pet every time it passes through the door. You can also introduce a play element into the training, such as throwing a ball for the dog through it or using a cat wand.
