The timer allows you to schedule up to 12 meals a day, specifying portion sizes ranging from 29-946ml. Once you input your preferences, food will be automatically dispensed into the bowl at the same time every day. This means you can program meals for the entire week. Additional programs allow you to pause food dispensing indefinitely, immediately serve a meal, and dispense food slowly—this function is particularly useful if your pet tends to eat too quickly. Furthermore, the smartphone app will notify you whenever the dispenser is running low, when food runs out, and when your cat or dog is full.
The PetSafe Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder is stable on the ground, and its design prevents curious paws from getting inside. The materials used do not alter the taste or smell of the food. The exterior is easy to clean with a damp, soft cloth, while the inner food bowl can be removed and washed in the dishwasher. A spacious bowl with a handle that keeps it in place is included. The dispenser can be powered by a household power outlet (power cord included) or D batteries (not included).
