PetSafe Staywell Classic Cat Flap White is a cat flap that provides your pet with freedom and independence. This flap can be installed in doors, walls, or windows, allowing your pet to enter and exit the house at any time. You don't have to interrupt your activities to let your furry friend out and then keep an eye on their return to let them back in.
The operation of the flap is very simple. Your pet just needs to push the transparent flap with their body, and it will lift and automatically fall back into place once they pass through the opening. The Staywell Classic model has 4 opening/closing options that you can change using a dial:
1. The flap is completely closed (position 1 on the dial) - the cat can enter the house but cannot exit.
2. The cat can exit (position 2) but cannot enter.
3. The flap opens in both directions (position 3).

Around the edges of the flap and the opening in the frame, there are magnets that keep the flap in place, preventing excess air from entering the house. However, the Staywell Classic model can also be successfully installed inside the house to give your pet access to a room where we rarely leave the door open, such as a bathroom. It also works well as an exit to a balcony.
The Staywell Classic cat flap can be installed in brick walls and wooden, metal, PVC, and UPVC doors, as well as in glass doors and windows. Installation is not complicated, and a special template and screws are included in the package to assist you. Both the frame and the flap are made of durable plastic, making the product long-lasting and weather-resistant. The universal white color fits many interiors. How to teach your pet to use the flap?
After installing the flap, leave it open for a while (you can secure it with a piece of string and tape to the surface above. Ensure that the flap does not fall accidentally, as this may scare your pet). Encourage your pet to pass through the opening using their favorite food or treats. First, feed the pet at the door inside, and then at the door outside. Practice until your pet starts passing through the opening without hesitation. Then repeat the training with the flap down so your pet learns to push the flap to exit. Pet and reward your pet every time they pass through the flap. You can also introduce a playful element to the training, such as using a cat wand.
