Breeds with short noses suffer from blocked tear ducts, causing tears to become brown and stain the fur. Recommended for short-nosed breeds such as Maltese, Shih Tzu, Pekingese, Yorkshire Terrier, as well as cats: Persian and Exotic Shorthair. Regular use eliminates brown tear stains. How to use: Clean the areas around the eyes 1-2 times a day with a cotton pad soaked in the solution, removing any excess. Ingredients: The main ingredients are boric acid (2%) and benzalkonium chloride (0.1%). Benzalkonium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound known for its bactericidal action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.
