SporttiPomppa is a lightweight, breathable, and warm softshell for dogs, designed for use for most of the year. It is an excellent choice for all kinds of outdoor activities from early autumn to late spring. It effectively protects the most important parts of the body from cold, wind, rain, and mud. It withstands not only light drizzle and heavier rain but also protects the dog from snow. Ideal for both daily walks and more intense dog activities. Its unique design allows complete freedom of movement for the dog, which is why it is highly valued and often used for various sports activities and training.
The jacket is made from a two-layer breathable, waterproof softshell, covered with a DWR hydrophobic layer, free from harmful fluorocarbons. The outer layer is smooth, allowing water to run off quickly. The inner side of the material features a soft, pleasant fleece that provides thermal comfort. The jacket covers the most important parts of the animal's body (back, neck, belly, and rear) and protects them from getting wet and cold. The back part extends down to the loins, while the lower part covers the chest and belly. The high, foldable collar protects the neck. A minimal number of seams reduces the risk of chafing and ensures greater waterproofness. The jacket fastens with a waterproof zipper, covered from underneath by a flap, protecting the pet from chafing or accidental fur pinching. It is easy to put on and take off. It is very lightweight and does not take up much space when folded. It can be easily taken on any adventure without burdening your luggage. Reflective elements ensure the dog's safety in poor lighting conditions.

How to care for your Pomppa dog clothing: avoid unnecessary washing. In addition to water consumption, frequent washing causes wear of the fabric and its coating. If there are no visible stains or dirt, try airing the product in a well-ventilated place or consider placing it in the freezer to eliminate any odors. If necessary, wash the clothing in the washing machine on a delicate fabric program at 30°C. Do not use aggressive detergents, stain removers, bleach, or fabric softeners. After washing, hang the clothing to dry; do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean. The outer layer is covered with a hydrophobic coating that degrades after multiple washes. You can restore it using impregnation products commonly available in outdoor clothing stores.
Choosing the right size: A well-chosen size ensures the best possible thermal protection and allows full freedom of movement for the dog. The right size protects the most important muscle groups and guarantees that the clothing will stay in place even during sprints or wild jumps. Pomppa jackets and sweatshirts are designed to fit various dog body types: slim, with a wide chest, or with distinct and developed musculature. When selecting a size, it is important that the jacket does not restrict the dog's mobility or cause discomfort in any way.
The determining factor in choosing the right size for the SporttiPomppa jacket is the length of the dog's back. We recommend avoiding choosing a smaller size than indicated by the length of the animal's back. Depending on the dog's proportions and type of coat, the appropriate size may be larger than the size according to back length. Another important factor to consider is that the SporttiPomppa jacket has a SlimFit cut and should fit snugly to the dog's body. However, it is also important that the dog's fur can fit under the jacket (important for dogs with thick fur). The material from which the SporttiPomppa is made is not very stretchy. If the dog's measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
About the brand: The first Pomppa products were created by the brand's founder, Meri Alku. Participating with her dogs in many agility competitions, she searched for suitable clothing for her pets that would meet the requirement of combining adequate thermal protection with full freedom of movement.
