SporttiPomppa is a lightweight, breathable, and warm softshell for dogs, designed for use throughout most of the year. It is an excellent choice for all kinds of outdoor activities from early autumn to late spring. It effectively protects the most important parts of the body from cold, wind, rain, and mud. It withstands not only light drizzle and heavier rain but also protects the dog from snow. Ideal for both daily walks and more intense activities. Its unique design allows full freedom of movement for the dog, which is why it is highly valued and often used for various sports activities and training.
The jacket is made from a two-layer breathable, waterproof softshell, coated with a DWR hydrophobic layer, free from harmful fluorocarbons. The outer layer is smooth, allowing water to quickly run off. The inner side of the material features a soft, pleasant fleece that provides thermal comfort. The jacket covers the essential parts of the animal's body (back, neck, belly, and rear) and protects them from getting wet and cold. The back part extends to the lower back, while the bottom covers the chest and belly. The high, foldable collar protects the neck. A minimal number of seams reduces the risk of chafing and ensures greater waterproofness. The jacket fastens with a waterproof zipper, covered underneath with a flap to protect the pet from chafing or accidental fur pinching. The garment is easy to put on and take off. It is very lightweight and does not take up much space when folded, making it easy to take on any adventure without adding weight to your luggage. Reflective elements ensure the dog's safety in poor lighting conditions.

How to care for your Pomppa dog clothing: avoid unnecessary washing. In addition to water consumption, frequent washing causes wear on the fabric and its coating. If there are no visible stains or dirt, try airing the product in a well-ventilated area or consider placing it in the freezer to eliminate any odors. If necessary, wash the garment in a washing machine on a delicate cycle at 30°C. Do not use aggressive detergents, stain removers, bleach, or fabric softeners. After washing, hang the garment to dry; do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean. The outer layer is coated with a hydrophobic finish, which degrades after multiple washes. You can restore it using impregnation products commonly available in outdoor clothing stores.
Choosing the right size: A well-chosen size provides the best possible thermal protection and ensures full freedom of movement for the dog. The appropriate size protects the most important muscle groups and guarantees that the garment will stay in place even during sprints or wild jumps. Pomppa jackets and sweatshirts are designed to fit various dog body types: slim, with a wide chest, or with pronounced and developed musculature. When choosing a size, it is important that the jacket does not restrict the dog's mobility or cause discomfort in any other way. The decisive factor in selecting the right size for the KuoriPomppa jacket is the length of the dog's back. We recommend avoiding choosing a smaller size than indicated by the dog's back length. Depending on the dog's proportions and type of coat, the appropriate size may be larger than the size based on back length. Another important factor to consider is that the SporttiPomppa jacket has a SlimFit cut and should fit snugly to the dog's body. However, it should also accommodate the dog's fur underneath (important for dogs with thick coats). The material from which SporttiPomppa is made is not very stretchy. If the dog's measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
About the brand: The first Pomppa products were created by the brand's founder, Meri Alku. Participating in many agility competitions with her dogs, she searched for suitable clothing for pets that would meet the requirement of combining appropriate thermal protection with full freedom of movement.
